How it works

From “I should see them” to a plan, in a minute.

  1. Set your home cityAnd, if you like, cities you care about (where family lives, where you travel for work).
  2. Pick a kind of planI’m Coming, Let’s Get Together or Visit Me.
  3. Choose whoYour groups, Everyone I know, people by name, or friends who aren’t on Huiora yet.
  4. SendThey get a notification (or an email or text link) and answer with one tap.

Who hears about I’m Coming?

Only the people you chose who are relevant to that place and time:

  • they live within about 10 miles of where you’re going,
  • they watch that city, or
  • they’re travelling there on overlapping dates.

Someone you pick by name who hasn’t set a city yet is told too. Before you send, the review page shows every person and why.

Rooms and beds

Describe your home once: rooms, and the beds in each (single, double, queen, king, sofa bed, bunks). Every Visit Me uses it. Guests who said yes pick a bed and can add the people coming with them; others can ask to join a bed, and the person in it decides.

Friends who aren’t on Huiora

Add them from your contacts or by name. For each, choose how they get their private link: Huiora emails it, you text it from your own phone, or you copy it and send it any way you like. They answer in their browser; you see their answer alongside everyone else’s.

New-city check-ins

Huiora doesn’t track you. If you turn this on, the app looks at which city you’re in from time to time (about once an hour) and keeps only the city. When you’re somewhere new it asks: “Looks like you’re in Salt Lake City. Want to tell people you know here?” Say no and nothing happens; say yes and it starts an I’m Coming for you to check before sending.

  • Off unless you turn it on
  • City only, never your exact spot or a history of where you’ve been
  • Nothing is shared without your yes
